What'll be next?  Hedgehogs as pets, why?
My question is if any of those people ever took one of those little buggers in when they are too small to live through the winter, before they start hibernating, they are extremely nosy and noisy!

You Are a Warrior Soul

You're a strong person and sometimes seen as intimidating.
You don't give up. You're committed and brave.
Truly adventuresome, you are not afraid of going to battle.
Extremely protective of loved ones, you root for the underdog.

You are picky about details and rigorous in your methods.
You also value honesty and fairness a great deal.
You can be outspoken, intimidating, headstrong, and demanding.
You're a hardliner who demands the best from themselves and others.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Apparently I would have passed 8th grade science in the US, go me!
You Passed 8th Grade Science

Congratulations, you got 8/8 correct!

And overall I am a liberal person / voter (well technically I'm not a voter, since I don't vote, as in I made a concious decision not to vote out of protest, because none of the parties in Germany represents what I want and think Germany needs (in my view), plus, what is the point? All politicians make grand promises before elections and than don't go through with them and none of them calls it as it is, Ok rant over!) I have to admit though that both Schröder and Merkel have had their positive moments and I still think Genscher was not only a great diplomat but possibly one of the best foreign affairs ministers ever, unlike Steinmeier whom I percive simply as a waste of space, even Fischer was better, and says a lot!
Your Political Profile:

Overall: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal

Social Issues: 50% Conservative, 50% Liberal

Personal Responsibility: 0% Conservative, 100% Liberal

Fiscal Issues: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal

Ethics: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal

Defense and Crime: 25% Conservative, 75% Liberal

they left out the bit about us Sagittarii (this is the correct plural for Sagittarius people, I looked it up, just to make sure) being brutally honest... but apart from that, pretty much a yes, although the swayed by kindness I have to object to, you have to convince me, to get me to agree! Also, I don't think I classify as caring, nope not really.
Apparently our motto is: “It is better to know how to learn than to know”, I have no idea if this is true for the rest of you Sagittarii out there, but it surely is for me, in that regard I stand behind Sartre.

You Are 89% Feminist

You are a total feminist. This doesn't mean you're a man hater (in fact, you may be a man).
You just think that men and women should be treated equally. It's a simple idea but somehow complicated for the world to put into action.

Yet I still like it, if a guy holds a door open for me, or helps me into my coat/jacket and it's only polite if he opens the passenger door of the car first!

I thought it was time for one of these again:
You Are Olive Green

You are the most real of all the green shades. You're always true to yourself.
For you, authenticity and honesty are very important... both in others and yourself.
You are grounded and secure. It takes a lot to shake you.
People see you as dependable, probably the most dependable person they know.

Regarding the unrest in Myanmar

Only very little information can be found, a lot of it seems to be from official parties, which I think is probably not the most realiable. However it seems that not all the military is on the side of the powers that be, some seem to disobay orders.
I have listed links to German and International news regarding the current situation in Myamar/Birma/Burma and a little bit of background on the countries recent history.

Your Score: Linear B

You scored

You are Linear B. Even those who can follow you think you're all Greek to them. Which, after all, is true - Linear B being the first known text for written Greek. To most people, you're incomprehensible. But what do you care? You're tough, hard, long-enduring and have greater nobility than most. Naturally, you don't admit to borrowing extensively from your brother Linear A.

The dead is done, I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (from about 4:30 pm yesterday to pretty much exactly 7 pm this morning, I dosed off a couple of times in between but people coming and going pretty much all night kept me up).
So what did/do I think? I liked it better than books 4 and 5 but it is definitely NOT my favorite. I'm pretty much with all the people who read the book already from some torrent or other: what she did to some of the characters was not great.

great stupid Internet Explorer just opened another page in this window and my post was destroyed

I won't rewrite it all but the gist is behind the cut

I'm now going to go over to [info]sam_storyteller and read his really excellent Stealing Harry, I urge people to go and read this, it's and AU set in a parallel universe...
To whoever is out there reading Deathly Hollows, keep going...

Your Score: The Bat

Here's your results! Your spirit animal has a Nobility ranking of 9 out of 18.

Your spirit animal is the bat. They are remakable creatures that guide themselves through the night using sonar. They are a fairly common spirit animal, but are neither exceptional nor despisable in regards to nobility. Being nocturnal, they have not really "seen the light", and there is much they are still unaware of, but they have their own special way of navigating the world, which though unconventional, works just fine.

***Wondering how this animal was chosen for you? These questions were carefully thought out to see how important you hold certain virtues such as: humanism, self-knowledge, rationalism, the love of freedom and other somewhat Hellenic ideals. Some of the questions were very subtle. Your score was then matched with an animal of corresponding nobility. However, you shouldn't think this was a right/wrong sort of test, but more of an idealistic values test. It's ok to not hold these values, you'll just get an animal spirit of lower stature if you do!***

So I went and saw PoT At Worlds End yesterday...
it is one big, effects loaded movie, let me tell you, and some parts (actually quite a lot of them) have a feeling of taking the piss out of 'typical' scenes (the big screen kiss, the heroic death, the captain going down with the ship), over all it's a comedy with a bit (in some cases a bit too much) kitsch in it. The sets were great, anybody expected anything different? And you get a short glimpse of Bill Nighy without the mollusc face... Oh, and Jack Davenport said about himself in the first movie, that he looked like a Mardi Gras float wearing all that brocade, well he gets to wear even more, so maybe now he is a fleet of floats?
The writers kept the tradition of merrily mixing myth and folklore as they saw fit; let me point out, that Kalypso was a nymph, not a goddess, oh and Charon makes an appearance of sorts...
Over all: go and see it, it's funny and entertaining, 'nine pieces of eight' WTF? and although it's its nearly 3 hrs long it didn't feel that long... if you go, there is a cute little scene after the credits.

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

Listening to Stephen Fry reading the Half blood Prince, I really like it! Anyone got 200 NZ$ for me, so I can buy it? Guess I'll have to obtain a copy, if I can get the glue off the first CD (see previous entry).

Any German football fans around? Is "Deutschland ein Sommermärchen" worth watching? I think I would like to see it, except I would have to order it via Amazon (about 26 Euros, which I don't have), since I couldn't find a current torrent, anyone got any ideas?

Oh, brilliant someone just rang our doorbell, it's 23:52, guess who is not getting up and putting on some clothes to open the door- I'm pretty sure it's my flatmates boyfriend...

Dear Idiot,

just because the borrowed CDs aren't yours (Harry Potter 7), but the property of UoA, doesn't mean you have to attempt to glue the CD onto something, so that about 1/3 cannot be read by a player anymore;

sincerly,
